As well as being a prolific illustrator, Helane is also an experienced, award-winning designer. She's created cover art for over 100 albums and CDs, produced artwork, print ads and set pieces for television and film, and designs everything from logos to product packaging to brochures. Her awards and honors include a combined six RIAA Platinum and Gold Albums, a Hollywood Reporter Key Art Award, and her illustration and design for The California Raisins album has a permanent place in the collection of the Smithsonian Institution.
Helane's flexibility and speed have made her a go-to designer in the entertainment industry. A voting member of the National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences (N.A.R.A.S., the Grammy people), she's produced award-winning album art for artists as disparate as Frank Sinatra and N.W.A. Helane's television credits include Disney's Hannah Montana and The Suite Life of Zack and Cody, as well as Warner Bros.' The Closer. Her work was also featured in national print ad campaigns for the motion pictures Schindler's List and Jurassic Park.
